Hero of heart The amazing son in law complete
Chapter 7373
Duncan Li rarely faces such difficult cases.
In the past, I’ve faced difficult cases because there were too few clues, such as incomplete fingerprints and shoe prints, unclear surveillance, etc., but this time was different. This time there were too many clues, so many that my scalp was numb.
Surveillance video footage shows dozens of identical cars entering the highway one after another, then choosing to fork in the road or exit the highway in different directions.
What is most surprising is that they all use the ETC system on the same car.
This means they also hacked the highway toll system.
He now had too many leads to investigate, such as the routes each vehicle traveled that day and the origins of these vehicles.
It can investigate who purchased so many identical commercial vehicles, which vehicle management office recently took over the registration of vehicles of the same model, and whether the hackers have left any traceable traces in the ETC system.
However, if there are too many clues, it is no different than having no clues at all.
Every lead can be investigated, but no one knows whether the investigation will end in a dead end or become another mystery from another side.
What if the vehicle owner is found and the vehicle owner information is traced, but it turns out that the other party’s information is falsified?
What if we find traces of a hacker, but the information the hacker left behind is also a deliberate trap?
Therefore, Duncan Li didn’t want to think differently at this point. His greatest hope was that the AI could locate Claire’s vehicle through a very subtle anomaly invisible to humans.
Things would be much simpler if you could just choose one from dozens of cars.
So, he fed all the video data into the AI model and let the AI model analyze the differences between these vehicles on its own.
The AI immediately analyzed the vehicle from multiple dimensions and found that there was no difference in the appearance of the vehicle, and even no different stains were found, which proved that they had thoroughly cleaned the vehicle before departure.
If necessary, AI can make judgments based on the vehicle’s suspension posture while driving.
For example, AI can use video to determine road surface undulations, make an approximate calculation of the undulation gradient, and then, based on vehicle speed, determine the suspension undulation conditions as the vehicle passes over a certain level of undulation.
Whether it is a regular spring suspension, air suspension, or electromagnetic suspension, when the vehicle is traveling on a bumpy road, the vehicle body will compress or release the suspension as the vehicle rises and falls.
The main factors that determine the amplitude of undulation are the road gradient, vehicle speed, vehicle suspension setting and vehicle curb weight.
If there is a difference in any of these four things, the performance of the vehicle’s suspension will be different.
The essence of AI input is that since they’re all the same type of car, their suspension should be the same. Road gradient and driving speed can be calculated by AI to determine whether the same car will exhibit the same reaction coefficient when navigating different gradients at different speeds.
The only variable that cannot be calculated is the vehicle’s curb weight.
The heavier the car, the smaller the fluctuations will be when facing ups and downs, and vice versa, just as a fully loaded ship will be more stable when facing waves.
The AI listed many of its own entry points, which Duncan Li found very reasonable, so he immediately allowed the AI to perform analysis along this line of reasoning.
However, after the AI ran at full speed for tens of seconds, the feedback concluded: “I calculated the road gradient, vehicle speed, and body undulations in the video to get the reaction coefficient.”
“After comparison, I found that the reaction coefficients of all vehicles are the same, which is unreasonable.”
Duncan Li immediately asked, “What do you mean by unconventional?”
AI replied: “If the reaction coefficient calculated using these three points is the same for all vehicles, it only proves that the curb weights of all vehicles are similar.”
“If the weights of their vehicles vary significantly, the reaction coefficients of each vehicle should be different. Lighter vehicles have higher reaction coefficients, and heavier vehicles have lower reaction coefficients.”
Duncan Li was shocked and said, “How can dozens of cars have the same weight? Even if other vehicles are driving fast, their fuel consumption will be different because the distance traveled is different. If there is a difference in fuel consumption, the weight will also be different!”
AI replied: “Because the video is less accurate, my analysis of the suspension height has an error of at least one centimeter, and the weight difference should be within the analysis error.”
This means that if my accuracy is as high as two decimal places, then the error is only three decimal places, which is beyond my judgment. By overall calculation, if the difference in their weights is less than five kilograms, I won’t be able to analyze the difference.
Duncan Li almost cursed on the spot.
Although it is not clear which car Claire was in, what is certain is that there were at least four people in the car, including the driver.
The weight of dozens of other cars is the same as this one, which proves that, first of all, Claire’s car has its own weighing function, which can calculate the curb weight of the entire car as soon as their family gets in the car.
Second, it was evident that the other vehicles’ reaction speeds were extremely fast. Just half an hour later, they encountered Claire’s car on the highway one after another. This proved that they had completed their own weight adjustments in a very short time and were even able to calculate approximate fuel consumption.
The empty weight of this vehicle is approximately two tons. Carrying four adults would increase the weight by nearly three hundred kilograms. For a 2,300-kilogram vehicle, the weight difference can be controlled to within five kilograms, which is very precise.
Duncan Li asked the AI: “Based on the current data, is there a way to find the differences between these vehicles?”
The AI replied, “Current video footage is all surveillance footage, which has limited accuracy. We need more accurate data for analysis.”
Then AI said, “If it were May to October, it would be easier for me to analyze this problem, but unfortunately the timing is not right.”
Duncan Li was surprised and asked, “Why is the timing wrong? What’s so special about May to October?”
AI replied, “From May to October, there are more mosquitoes. Any car traveling at high speed will collide with many mosquitoes.”
“Although mosquitoes are as numerous as fingerprints and QR codes, it’s impossible for two cars to collide with identical insect carcasses. That would make it easier to find each other.”
“However, mosquitoes haven’t started their new mating season yet, so there aren’t many details to differentiate them.”
Duncan Li sighed. He couldn’t fathom who could be so careful, so deliberate, that he could control the car’s weight with such precision.
Usually, no one considers this aspect, and even if they do, they will not do so carefully, unless the person knows what they are facing and has prepared beforehand.
Thinking of this, Duncan Li suddenly felt a chill down his spine, and thought to himself: “Could it be that this guy knows that Charlie has an AI model?”
Then he immediately confirmed his suspicion.
“It has to be that way!”
So, he immediately called Charlie, analyzed the situation to him in a serious tone, and then conveyed his conclusion: “Mr. Wade, whoever that person is, he understands your strength very well.”
“They knew you had an AI model and even knew you would ask me to help investigate it. Therefore, they planned it very carefully from the start to prevent any issues from being analyzed by the AI.”
With such powerful control abilities, he could lead so many people with such precision and without error. He could definitely be said to be able to plan and win from a thousand miles away!
Charlie was shocked when he heard this and muttered, “Even when we evacuated the assassination squad, our thinking didn’t reach such a level of precision, and our control over the details was far from this precise… Who on earth is so depraved and fussy about details?”
Duncan Li sighed, “Mr. Wade, I have lived for more than fifty years, and I have only met two people with this ability.”
Charlie asked hurriedly: “Who are those two?”
Duncan Li said: “One is your father, and the other is your mother.”
