Exploring an ancient, deserted city, Charlie Wade discovers a massive, qi-rich metropolis, yet finds no personal cultivation resources like pills or artifacts. He theorizes this was a cultivator’s “utopia,” where abundant shared qi and centrally distributed elixirs meant individuals saw no need to hoard or even take items home, fostering a society focused on collective advancement.

Charlie walked alone through the clean streets of this ancient city, and the more he saw, the more worried he became.
Given the size of this city, it could accommodate at least tens of thousands of people. Itās hard to imagine that tens of thousands of cultivators once lived in this one place. After all, even today, it would be difficult to find even a few hundred cultivators.
Charlie wandered around the city, surprised and disappointed, because apart from the pill furnace that was impossible to take away, there were none of the unlimited cultivation resources that Bolin had imagined.
There were no magic potions, no magical artifacts, no Cultivation Techniques, and besides the Qi contained in the city, there was nothing else that could aid in cultivation.
Charlie couldnāt help but wonder: if the cultivators here had such high cultivation levels, why didnāt they leave behind any cultivation resources? Did they take everything with them when they left? But even that seemed unreasonable. A city this large and the Qi that supported its operation far exceeded the resources available to an individual. They hadnāt taken the city with them or removed the cityās formations, so why would they care about those personal resources?
As Charlie was racking his brain trying to think of it, a word suddenly came to mindāa word that had been popular since long after the Cold War: utopia.
At that time, people believed that Utopia was the best social form that humanity could imagineābeautiful, equal, without oppression, and without evil, like a perfect paradise.
In reality, such a society is almost impossible to exist; it is more often used by cults to brainwash their followers.
However, Charlie realized that the place he was in might be a utopian society typical of cultivators of that time.
In this society, the abundant Qi is shared. The people who live here are entitled to the best elixirs, so naturally they donāt need other elixirs to replenish their Qi.
As for the pills with other effects, they were likely refined and distributed centrally by the farmers here. Each household probably didnāt take them home after receiving them; they were consumed immediately after distribution, so itās natural that there were no leftovers.
The cultivators here should be working together towards the goal of leveling up. Since they can form such a society, they should be able to share cultivation resources. If so, why would they need to hoard Cultivation Techniques?
Regarding magical artifacts, there was no doubt that tens of thousands of high-level cultivators would be invincible in todayās society. In ancient times, they would have no enemies, especially in the barren Antarctic, where it was difficult to find any creature other than penguins. The danger to cultivators was practically nil. As long as they could achieve a utopian state internally, with no external enemies and no internal conflict, magical artifacts would naturally become the most useless thing. The administrators here might even issue an edict prohibiting the private possession of offensive magical artifacts to prevent further internal trouble.
