Soon after, as if in a chain reaction, the other eight crystal pillars shook simultaneously, and the magma flow in the array began to become disorderly and reverse direction.

David shouted softly and immediately backed away.
The three had just stepped out of the cave entrance when an ear-splitting explosion came from behind them.
The nine crystal pillars shattered into pieces, sending magma soaring into the sky and engulfing the entire cave. However, the shock wave from the explosion was contained by the narrow passage and did not spread very far outside.
As the lava receded and the smoke dissipated, the original formation disappeared completely, leaving only a bottomless hole through which the lava slowly flowed back.
Natural stone stairs leading downwards could be faintly seen at the bottom of the hole, leading into deeper darkness.
“Let’s go.” David wiped the fresh blood from the corner of his mouth and stepped first onto the stone steps.
The Scarlet Cloud Demon Lord watched his swaying yet still upright back, a complex expression flashed across his eyes, but ultimately said nothing and followed closely.
The stone steps spiraled downwards, and the temperature was getting higher and higher.
The surrounding stone walls had been completely covered in glass, transparent like a mirror, reflecting the distorted figures of the three people.
The mirror occasionally reflected the fossilized images of ancient creatures, all of which were alien species from the underground world that had never been seen before.
