Meteor Tower: Shattering Stars with a Single Arrow
Meteor Tower, renowned for its archery skills in the Twenty-Seven Heavens, has its sect headquarters built on a suspended, solitary peak, surrounded by a net-like array of arrows, known as a place where even immortals cannot escape a volley of arrows.
When David and Su Qingyuan arrived at the foot of the solitary peak, they looked up at the mountain shrouded in countless arrows. David couldn’t help but sigh, “This place looks like a hedgehog’s nest.”
Su Qingyuan said calmly, “Their archery skills are indeed remarkable. When we besieged the Myriad Laws Heavenly Palace, the arrow formation of the Meteor Tower killed many of our disciples.”
“Then today, I’ll let them taste what it’s like to shoot an arrow into their own people.”
David grinned and started walking up the mountain.
As soon as they stepped into the range of the arrow formation, a rain of arrows descended from the sky, each arrow carrying a sharp Daoist aura, sharp enough to pierce through the protective spiritual light of an ordinary immortal lord.
David stood still, the primordial chaos condensing around him into an invisible barrier.
The arrows struck the barrier with a clattering sound before falling to the ground, not even touching the hem of his clothes.
That’s it?
As David walked, he shook his head and said, “Your arrow formation is worse than a child’s slingshot.”
On the solitary peak, the master of the Meteor Pavilion stood at the highest point, his face gloomy as he looked down at the leisurely figure below, a trace of solemnity flashing in his eyes.
He raised his hand and drew the bow, his ninth-grade Immortal Lord spiritual power condensing into a long, jet-black arrow, which he aimed at David.
“This arrow is called Shattered Star.”
The Meteorite Lord said in a deep voice, “I once killed three ninth-grade Immortal Lords with a single arrow. You are nothing but a nobody.”
As soon as he finished speaking, the long arrow shot out, carrying the power to tear through the void, and with a piercing whistle, aimed straight at David’s brow.
David looked up at the fierce arrow, then suddenly raised his hand and casually tucked it away.
With two fingers, he firmly held the arrow that was said to be able to shatter stars.
The owner of the Meteor Pavilion’s pupils dilated in shock, his face filled with disbelief.
David looked down at the arrow between his fingers, then looked up at the Meteorite Pavilion Master atop the solitary peak, his expression serious: “Your arrow is quite beautiful. It’s a pity, it’s useless.”
As he spoke, he flicked his finger, and the arrow changed direction, flying back at an even faster speed, and accurately piercing the chest of the Meteorite Lord.
The Meteor Lord looked down at the arrow embedded in his chest, opened his mouth as if to say something, but could not utter a single word. He fell straight down from the peak of the solitary mountain, crashing onto the rocks and falling silent.
“Here you go.”
David clapped his hands, looking completely innocent. “I’m a very reasonable person. You shoot an arrow at me, I’ll shoot one back at you. Is that fair?”
Su Qingyuan stood beside him, looking at his innocent yet irritating expression, and couldn’t help but chuckle softly.
Along the way, she found David to be an increasingly interesting person.
They’re ridiculously strong, but they always pretend to be harmless, which is infuriating.
With the death of the Meteor Tower Master, the remaining disciples were leaderless and scattered in all directions.
David emptied the treasure vault of the Meteor Tower and then took Su Qingyuan to their next target.
Along the way, Su Qingyuan asked, “Who’s next?”
“Qingxiao Sword Sect”.
David thought for a moment, “They were one of the main forces that besieged the Myriad Laws Heavenly Palace back then. I heard their sword formation killed quite a few people. Let’s go and meet them.”
Qingxiao Sword Sect: One Sword Returns to Its Sheath
The Qingxiao Sword Sect practices swordsmanship as a path to enlightenment. Everyone in the sect practices swordsmanship, and they are known as “With a sword in hand, I have the world at my command.”
Their swordsmanship is indeed formidable, especially the sect leader, Sword Saint Qingxiao, whose swordsmanship cultivation is at the half-step Immortal King realm. With a single sword strike, he can cleave mountains and rivers, and his reputation is renowned.
When David and Su Qingyuan arrived at the gate of the Qingxiao Sword Sect, the Qingxiao Sword Saint seemed to have been waiting for a long time.
He stood with his hands behind his back, dressed in white, surrounded by thousands of sword-wielding disciples whose sword intent soared to the sky, exuding an imposing aura.
“You’ve arrived.”
Sword Saint Qingxiao looked at David and said calmly, “I have been waiting for you for three days. I have heard about the destruction of the Crimson Cloud Immortal Mansion and the Meteor Tower.”
David raised an eyebrow: “Then you should know why I’m here.”
“Know.”
The Sword Saint of Qingxiao nodded. “You came to avenge the Myriad Laws Heavenly Palace. My Qingxiao Sword Sect did indeed participate in the siege of the Myriad Laws Heavenly Palace.”
He paused, his voice calm: “But the sword I’m waiting for isn’t the one for escaping. If you seek revenge, I’ll take your sword. If you can withstand my sword, the entire Qingxiao Sword Sect will be at your mercy.”
