Chapter 130
As he spoke, Sheri Wilson laughed scornfully in his mind. Yvonne Xavier’s looks, body and grace are not just a class above hers. Sheri was jealous, but she refused to admit it.
“This thief is something else. He goes around telling people that he’s a CEO, how shameless is this guy?’
Yvonne Xavier fixed her eyes on Sheri Wilson and said in an aserious tone, “Watch your language please. This is the CEO of our company. If you follow this disrespectful act, we have no objection to opening an account at another bank. Your bank may have a good reputation, but there are other banks in this city too.”
“Our own CEO invested millions of dollars without even batting an eye, and you call him a thief? This has got to be the worst joke ever.’
Sheri Wilson sized Yvonne Xavier up and down and replied in disdain, “Should I believe you just because you said she wasn’t a thief? Do you know what an Amex black card is? Only people who have billions of dollars in our bank will have the privilege to hold them! How can you believe this poor looking man would have that kind of money? If it wasn’t stolen from somewhere, what else could have happened?”
Yvonne Xavier furrowed her brows. “Could you stop playing around? You can easily check the identity of the card owner by entering the password, right?”
Hearing this, Sheri Wilson sneered even more. He called out loudly, “checked card and password? Don’t you know this card is connected to the owner’s phone? Once someone accesses the card details, a notification will appear. What if the owner thinks our bank is being rude? It’s definitely not as simple as you think! Do you think you can do anything with your pretty face, even going so far as to impose it on someone who is ignorant and has a good reputation?”
The people around erupted into non-stop chatter after hearing what Sheri Wilson had just said.
This woman was so naive, what a waste of good looks! How could he believe that this hapless-looking man was a CEO?
Just then the bank’s head manager, a middle-aged man sporting a big belly, stepped over with his hands behind his back. He noticed the situation and frowned. “What happened?”
Sheri Wilson responded quickly, “chief manager, this man stole one of our AMEX VIP black cards and is trying to scam us!”
“What? Amex Black Card?!
Sweat dripped down the head manager’s forehead as he lost his cool. It will be a big problem if one of the VIP loses his Amex black card!
He shifted his gaze to Harvey York and the Amex Black Card in hand, and took a deep breath.
“Security, take him away! Send him to the security room before I contact the card owner.” The head manager ordered immediately, his face stern. “I will decide whether to call the police or not!”
A number of security guards grabbed Harvey, their attitude intimidating. One of them even had a gun pointed right at his forehead.
Harvey York pouted. He didn’t care to pay attention to these guards in the first place. Since Yvonne was there, if any of the guns went off, he wasn’t sure if he could protect her.
He didn’t try to fight back. Instead, he followed security obediently.
“You are the head manager? How can you take someone away without investigating the matter beforehand?” Yvonne said, furious. “Do you have any idea how big of a problem this is? You’re done!”
“Miss,” Sheri Wilson walked up to Yvonne and said sweetly, “why keep acting when that man has already been taken away? If you continue this any further, we will take you away as well for disturbing the prohibition order!”
“Oh, now you’re taking me away too? Do you think you will be able to handle the consequences for this?” Yvonne shouted hotly. “Even the President of the bank treats us with respect. Who do you think you are?!”
The head manager waved his arm nonchalantly, his brows furrowed. “Take him to the security room too. I will contact the card owner now.”
Soon, Yvonne Xavier was sent to the security room to accompany Harvey York.
Creaky…
Sheri Wilson entered the security room with her arms crossed and looked down on them.
“Here’s a suggestion for you two. If you make it out of here safely, don’t even think about stealing again. And give us the card back Next time you find another one somewhere instead of trying to make money off of it by scamming.”
“Hand over the cards now! You still dare to keep it in your filthy hands? Do you still think you are not quilty enough for your crimes, do you?”
Harvey York ignored Sheri Wilson and turned to Yvonne Xavier. “Are you okay?”
“Now that he’s caught too, I can’t act rashly. If not, the security guard will come down now.’
