Chapter 135
The head manager quickly replied, “President, I didn’t do that on purpose. I’m just trying to protect our client’s assets. How do I know that a distinquished VIP will personally come to
the front desk to take matters into his own hands? I think someone has stolen the card!”
Dawson Robbin held a dark face. He walked over and kicked the manager’s head in the chest, and then turned back to Harvey with a smile.
“Mr. York, see? This subordinate of mine is just making a mess out of good intentions. Can you be magnanimous and not pay attention to this matter?”
“No big deal.” Harvey York shrugged. “There are always proud bullies like this. However, I still want to seek justice for what happened.
President, can you help me?”
“Just say the word and I will attend to it wholeheartedly, please because it is within my power to do so.” Dawson’s face was solemn. It is good news that such a major client is willing to request. This meant that he had chosen not to calculate this matter and let the past slip by.
Had Harvey not asked for help he would have been quite agitated.
“It’s not a big deal, really. I just feel that as a client I should find another place with better care to run my business. My secretary will help me move all my company and personal assets out of here in a jiffy. I hope you can be generous and help me with this little problem.”
Harvey beamed with a beaming smile. “Surely, that wouldn’t be a problem? Only signatures can be used.”
However, Dawson saw his vision turn black. He almost fainted after hearing those words.
The chief manager’s office was temporarily taken over.
Harvey was greeted with respect and courtesy. He was casually sitting on the couch as Yvonne Xavier made him some tea. He enjoyed the drink in his hand slowly.
Sitting across from him was Dawson, embarrassment written all over his face. He wasn’t sure where to start.
“Mr. York, Could you allow our bank to help with your offshore accounts over the next few years? We will work hard and provide our best service. Can you give us another chance?” Dawson asked with difficulty.
Harvey was taken aback. He asked, “President, I don’t understand what you’re saying. Have I not given you enough chances? I’ve had people point their guns at my head when I’m innocent. My secretary and I were held in the security room against our will and without following proper procedures. If not for my several years of training in self-defense, I might have been beaten to the ground by now. Don’t you think that I’ve given you a chance by not taking all of this to heart under these circumstances? Do you expect me to kneel down and apologize to you, too?”
“You have to bend over!” Cold sweat dripped nonstop from Dawson’s head. “CEO York, let’s not talk about business just yet. My good-for-nothing son would like to personally apologize to you. Is that fine with you?”
Harvey let Asilent laugh. “That won’t be easy for your tall, burly son.”
“If that’s the case, should I call him?” Dawson
didn’t dare to continue the conversation anymore.
Instead, he took out his phone and made a call.
Soon, a knock sounded on the door. The originally overbearing leader of the security team limped.
He wept and mourned. He didn’t care about the wounds and cuts on his body as he attacked Dawson and groveled before him. “
Father God, it’s all my fault. I will never do it again!”
“Mr. York, CEO of York, I am blind. I have come to admit my mistake. Please, you must forgive me!”
When he said this, a flash of anger flashed across the security team leader’s eyes. He used to be delinguent on the streets. However, he had been beaten to this state and could not carry out his revenge.
How could he give up so easily?
Harvey sensed the man’s hatred, but didn’t remember it and waved to signal he could leave.
The head manager and Sheri Wilson came in next.
They both regain consciousness. The head manager was vaguely aware of the situation and spoke politely. “CEO York, I’m really sorry. I was blind, lacked discipline and ended up offending you.
I’m here to formally apologize to you. I guarantee there won’t be a next time.”
After he said this, he raised his hand and gave himself two slaps across the face.
Harvey didn’t know whether to laugh or cry as he looked at Dawson. He managed to turn these people into slaves in a matter of minutes. In fact, their words were well expressed. No wonder he is president. Any ordinary person would not have the skills to do so.
Sheri smiled apologetically and said, “CEO York, please don’t remember what an insignificant person like me has done to you. I fucked up garlier. I am very, very sorry.”
Sheri reacted differently than the others. He didn’t have the slightest hint of hatred, and an alluring smile was on his face. This is the main client.
Even though there were some conflicts before, he now realized the truth. He just needed to recognize that reality, and he would have his chance.
Harvey didn’t say a word. Neither of them has the right to the answer.
Instead, Yvonne said coldly, “You may leave now.
Don’t forget that my CEO only gave your President a chance. You better remember that. I hope there won’t be a next time.”
The head manager and Sheri didn’t dare say more. They leave, disappointed.
Next time?
How can there be a next time?
If such a big client showed up again, there would be a welcome party setting off fireworks to invite them in.
