Chapter 2002
One could even say that the most precious thing about the Nine Dragons Pearl was the tread pattern engraved on its surface.
It was extremely rare in the world, and finding a second pearl was nearly impossible.
“31.4 million dollars. I want it”
Hector casually held up his placard and quoted the price.
The price of 31.4 million dollars is not too much for him. After all, there weren’t many naturally radiant pearls in this world, and they were originally priceless treasures.
However, there is a problem.
Hector’s identity is revealed. Since he had already named the price, no one dared to increase the price.
His actions had told everyone that he was determined to obtain the Nine Dragons Pearl.
No matter who was interested in the Nine Dragons Pearl, it was useless to offend Young Master Hector Thompson for that.
Hector himself reckons that no one will dare to haggle with the price. Hence, he threw the plaque in his hand to one side after shouting.
“31.4 million dollars! Someone has bid for 31.4 million dollars!”
“First time!” The second time! “Third…”
Even though the auctioneer named the price in a tone filled with excitement, deep down, he was bored.
This turn of events was akin to a price being decided beforehand by someone who refused to abide by the rules of the auction hall.
The auctioneer isn’t the only one. Others felt just as bored.
It would be interesting if someone dared to raise the price. Almost everyone is looking forward to it.
Unfortunately, everyone knows that customers in auction halls have reputations that must be protected. So, no one is going to offend Hector Thompson over a little thing.
Just as the auctioneer was about to shout out his last words, the door that had been closed was kicked open again.
‘Bang!’
A loud sound filled the air, capturing the attention of the entire crowd and causing the auctioneer’s voice to halt.
A figure came out slowly and quoted the price nonchalantly, “157 million dollars!”
Everyone in the crowd looked at the door being kicked in with rapid breaths and watched the newcomer who had claimed the bidding amount of 157 million dollars as he indifferently walked into the auction hall.
They had not even imagined in their wildest dreams that someone would step forward and blow something up in Hector’s face at the most crucial moment!
He didn’t just blow something up in Hector’s face. His actions show no respect or respect for the Thompson family.
Everyone gasped, their eyelids twitching madly. They looked at Harvey with expressions of disbelief.
They couldn’t be sure if the brat standing in front of them was stupid, or arrogant.
Hector watched this scene with interest. He wasn’t angry at all, and only slightly narrowed his eyes.
Meanwhile, the person in charge of the auction house stood up and immediately brought over a dozen tall, burly security guards with hostile looks. They are Hector’s people.
He looked at Harvey and said, “Sir! This is the Purdue Auction House, not a playground!”
“If you want to take part in the auction, you must have an invitation letter and the capital must also be verified.”
“Otherwise, I’m afraid we will have to treat you roughly.”
Harvey was indifferent and did not answer. Tyson Woods, who was behind him, stepped forward at this time and directly hit the man in charge, knocking the man to the ground.
Then, Tyson threw the invitation to the ground.
He snapped coldly, “Use your head to think. If we don’t have the invitation letter, will the officials let us in?”
“Even if you want to become his minion and attack others, it’s best to find a better reason.”
More than ten security guards wanted to go forward but were stopped by their leader who was lying on the ground.
The invitation letter is genuine. The bill inside also showed that Harvey had paid a deposit of 1.5 billion dollars. No matter the origin, a man like Harvey was of course someone the auctioneer couldn’t afford to offend.
The color of his face changed for a moment. He glanced at Hector, then backed away dejectedly.
