Chapter 3838

Queenie knows exactly what Harvey likes. He had already arranged some antique Black Tea for her to enjoy.

While the faint smell of tea wafted through the air, Harvey went upstairs to take a shower.

He felt very refreshed after changing into his gym clothes.

Katy glanced at him curiously. After a while, he laughed out loud.

“If you keep running around me like that, sooner or later I will bite you!”

Harvey pouted after hearing those words.

“Impossible! I treat you like my sister and yet you try to force yourself on me?”

“How dare you!”

“Cih!”

Katy sneered.

“Everyone here wants a piece of me.”

“But I’m not even interested in any of them. I only think about you.”

“However…”

“You will miss when I change my mind!”

Harvey fell silent.

‘Why did he have to bring up such a sensitive topic…?’

Just as it was getting a little hotter, Katy’s phone rang again.

He frowned as he picked up the phone; it’s Lara again.

Lara continues to annoy Katy relentlessly; besides bugging her to make it to dinner on time, he also asked Katy to go off on her own and endure whatever it took.

Lara said that Vance was backed by the Blackburn City Martial Arts Alliance, so he was used to breaking the law a bit.

No matter what, Katy was not allowed to fight the man.

Katy, however, casually brushes off the warning.

It didn’t matter if it was Blackburn City or the South Sea Martial Arts Alliance; nothing was enough to frighten him.

“Your friend is quite interesting, Katy,” said Harvey, looking curious.

“How can a simple intermediary be so intent on getting involved with your personal business?”

“People who don’t know might just think that he is the real creditor.”

She smiled.

“Lara is a social butterfly of the South Seas; he has many connections on both sides of the underworld.”

“He needs to earn money this way. He’s getting hundreds and thousands of dollars if we get a deal out of this business. It’s only natural for him to work this hard.”

“Are you close to him?” he asked.

“No. The family’s third house introduced him to me.”

“They said they wanted ten percent of the money if this worked,” Katy said quietly, holding her teacup.

“I think the second and third houses are trying to mess with me, but after investigating the situation further, I can confirm that Lara is the real mediator.”

“In that case, there shouldn’t be much commotion.”

“That said, Vance is quite troubled.”

“He is the CEO of the Marina Bay Freight Company. There are rumors that he is on good terms with the person in charge of the Blackburn Martial Arts Alliance, Rhett Padlow.”

“However, I suspect Rhett is the real boss of the company.”

“After all, the company takes up a third of the dock logistics volume. It doesn’t seem like much, but it shouldn’t be a problem for a company to make hundreds and millions of dollars.”

“There’s no way Rhett would let outsiders make all this money. There is a high probability that Vance is just a cover he has created.”

“Simply put, it looks like Vance wants us to pay back the money, but his true target is actually the Blackburn City Martial Arts Alliance.”

“This is a little troublesome…”

“Not too. As long as Vance keeps this a secret, we can handle the situation while pretending none of this ever happened.”
