She was afraid of people seeing her face, so she would wear a veil ever}’ day and even when she sleeps.
She was once a famous goddess but at that moment she was only an ugly person that even-one hates to see.
Anyone in her position would feel depressed as well! Lily had cried countless times at night.
Lanvin pursed her lips upon looking at Lily sitting in front of the dressing table and taunted, “Looking at the mirror again? No matter how many times you look in the mirror, you’ll remain ugly and won’t turn into an angel.’
She harrumphed at Lily upon saying that. Lanvin had never shown Lily any kindness.
Lily’s heart was slightly pained upon hearing herself being called ugly but did not retort.
Lanvin coldly instructed. “Quickly pack up. I’ve just received a mission to kill someone and you’re to accompany me.”
“Hmm.” Lily nodded and started packing.
Lily treated every mission seriously as she knew that only by personal experience could she grow stronger. She had to quickly level up, avenge Darryl, and payback Matteo Hanson!
While Lily packed, she curiously asked, “Who are we killing?”
Lanvin sat on the bench and curtly replied. “Why are you talking so much? Why are you asking so many questions? You’re just a Level One Martial Saint. You only have to just follow me and don’t cause any trouble. I’m bringing you to practice, so you just need to accommodate and cover for me. Other than that, you don’t need to ask any questions. Got it?”
“Yes. Senior Sister,” replied Lily gently.
“Hurry up. Why are you taking your own sweet time? Why are you bringing so many clothes? Which men on the streets would even look at you? Also, the target is a person from the World Universe. They say that the World Universe is filled with gorgeous women that even beggars won’t look at you who had such ugly looks. Just bring a set of clothes. Hurnr up! Don’t waste time.” Lanvin did not bother speaking anymore and left the room.
Lily was aggrieved but could do nothing except to follow her.
Two hours later, Lily and Lanvin arrived at a small fishing village in the New World and rented a small boat toward the World Universe.
On the boat, Lily was feeling extremely miserable.
It had been a year. A whole year and she was finally returning to the World Universe.
Memories from yesteryear appeared in her mind as her eyes became moist from a mind that was being filled with Darryl’s silhouette.
